Michigan Avenue at night

Amy and I spent a great weekend in Chicago browsing both stores and museums. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency on Wacker and (roughly) Michigan, which was perfect location-wise for both walking up and down Michigan Avenue and for walking (much further, but through some nifty parks) to the Museum Campus.

Part of my tilt-shift experiment. By blowing out the colors and “fake macroing” the focus down to a specific plane, you can turn any photo into something that appears to be a miniature set.

... and we’re back from Chicago. Wicked is the best musical I’ve seen, and it’s a ton of fun to take a sightseeing bus trip through a city you thought you knew all about.
