I just whipped together an iPhone-ready version of the site based on Joe Hewitt’s amazingly quick work.

It’s “read only” for now, meaning I didn’t build commenting into it, however you should be able to browse the front page of the site without any trouble.

It’s amazing how easy it is to develop for this little device.

I waited in line at an AT&T in Madison and didn’t get one. I walked up to the counter at an Apple Store in Milwaukee and they had piles.

(Apparently John had a similar experience.)

More thoughts to come as I get to know it a little better. My overall impression so far is that this is an exceedingly remarkable device. Hypeworthy indeed.

... but it wasn’t enough. I was also the first person in line to be told they ran out of 8Gb iPhones. Ah well, there are worse ways to spend 5 hours in the baking hot sun. At least Josh and I had jury-rigged umbrellas.
